Klay has been employed at Fairland Management Company since 1997. He is currently President, General Manager, and Real Estate Broker. Klay directly manages land in Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Martin, Redwood and Rock Counties. He is the head of the Real Estate Sales Department and assists landowners in buying and selling land in these counties as well.
Klay became an Accredited Farm Manager (AFM) through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) in September of 2002. He also served as President of the Minnesota Chapter – ASFMRA in 2004. Klay was a member and graduate of the Minnesota Ag & Rural Leadership (MARL) Program in 2002-2004. He received his Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University (NDSU) in 1997 and also obtained B.A. degrees in Business Economics and General Economics from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 1995.
Klay resides on his family farm just northwest of Windom with his wife Jen,daughters Ellie and Claire, and twin sons Nick and Joe. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working on the farm, reading, playing ball, golfing, 4-wheeling, and hunting.
